September 2005 Androscoggin River float trip with Frank and Tom Church, and Dave Bottom

TR from Frank Church:
Lack of rain played a big part in our success (or lack thereof) on our bi-annual float trip down the Androscoggin river in Maine for the wily smallmouth bass. This year my brother Tom from Florida joined us in our quest. The river was really low and we felt like the warm weather and low water probably stressed the fish to some degree. Nevertheless, we all caught fish but really had to work for them, unlike other trips where it gets to be a fish every half dozen casts or so. (at least it seems that way) 50+ fish days are not that uncommon when the water is at or near normal level. That said, here are some shots from Sept. 2005.
